Art has been an integral part of my life from the very beginning. I discovered my passion for creativity at a young age, exploring various mediums like charcoal, pastels, and watercolor through art classes. This artistic journey continued through college and into adulthood, where I immersed myself in painting using acrylics on versatile surfaces like slate, wood, and canvas. My inspiration stemmed from photos, literature, and personalized requests, each piece crafted with love and dedication.

What truly fuels my soul is the act of creating something special, especially for those dear to me. The joy of gifting heartfelt creations to my family and friends remains my most cherished endeavor.

Life has a way of passing by swiftly, prompting reflections on our passions. Despite a fulfilling career in nursing, I realized my heart resonated elsewhere. When contemplating what truly ignites my spirit, the answer is crystal clear—my profound love for animals and creating art.  All creatures, whether it’s dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, cows, birds, elephants, giraffes, and countless others, animals are incredible companions. Their unconditional love, humor, and ability to uplift our spirits make them an indispensable part of our lives. They aren’t just pets; they’re cherished members of the family.  I am so happy to have ‘found’ colored pencils and learning this new medium - the detail and depth that is created in these portraits is breathtaking - it has put the long ago dream of combining these two loves of mine into a reality.
